Can hypnosis really help with Academic Performance?
It is very common for students to start with good intentions, or a "I will get to it" attitude that just isn't allowing them to reach their potential because they all too often find themselves scrambling at the last minute. Starting with hypnosis can help them overcome those bad habits that are holding them back and to start on a path to success.
Academic performance consists of several key indicators of success:
- understanding good study habits,
- preparation and planning,
- focus and concentration,
- retention of information,
- observing patterns and themes,
- recognizing expectations from professors, instructors, or teachers,
- noting information gaps,
- stress or anxiety control,
- producing materials (papers, essays and tests) that meet expectations, and
- learning from our past experience.
Hypnosis can help with all of the above and even more!
How do I get the best results from using your services?
If you want to get the best results from hypnosis, start early. Coming to hypnosis sessions the week before exam period is great to help with the stress level and to help with focus and concentration, but it will not be the right time to work on the other key indicators of success. The most positive changes will happen if you start early and come in for a "booster" a week or two before your exams.
I suffer from exam anxiety. Can you help?
Exam anxiety, test anxiety, performance anxiety, whatever you want to call it, can be a traumatic experience that keeps you from reaching your true potential. Hypnosis has been proven effective to help with test anxiety. It is such an important topic, that I have created its own page to discuss it. Just click here.
Do you have a student rate?
I appreciate the fact that students may have limited budgets, that's why I offer student rates to University and College students, with a valid student card. Come in with a friend, roommate or colleague and you both save an extra 5% on the session fees. I am also located in downtown for easy access for students from Carleton University, University of Ottawa, St. Paul's, La Cité and Algonquin.
