Hypnosis is effective in helping client's reach their weight loss goals. A healthy weight has great impacts on a person's overall health. The benefits include increased energy, deeper sleep, better health indicators such as improved levels of blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. You can also enjoy improved mobility, a decreased risk of Type 2 diabetes, improved enjoyment of leisure and physical activities and better mood. These health improvements are all connected to greater quality of life?
Given that fad diets come and go, and that people lose weight and regain it all the time, why would hypnosis be different? We know it is different because research have proven it!
Research has shown that will power is not enough to keep weight off. How many often have you heard that someone was on a diet and then binged and felt bad? Their will power was simply not enough to keep the person from given in to their desires. And this is normal. Will power is not as strong as our subconscious will power requires constant energy to keep our desires at bay, but overtime the energy wears out. Hypnosis is different because it works with the subconscious to eliminate desires and can help break our bad habits.
Working with the subconscious helps us lose weight and keep it off!
As humans we have many desires and drivers that we are not aware of. These drivers are stored in our subconscious (below conscious mind). These are things we have learned over our lives and associations that we have made from all of our life experiences these are often from memories long forgotten from our logical and reasoning conscious mind. Even if we have forgotten them, they influence us all the same. A simple example is how much we might desire chocolate cake if our parents gave us chocolate cake to make us feel better. Every time we feel bad, we might desperately want this type of cake or even when we don't feel bad we crave it just to feel good and to re-experience the positive feelings.
Associating food with emotional experiences, means that the thought, aroma or taste of that food brings back these positive feelings. Everytime we think of it, smell it or taste it, these feelings become stronger. No wonder one should use hypnosis to break this cycle.
